As a former Army member, I shudder at the thought of having to say positive things about anything to do with the Navy (there is a pretty fierce Army-Navy rivalry, after all). However, as Consumer Reports pointed out, the Navy Federal Credit Union offers great service to its members. One of the best cards that the Navy Federal Credit Union has to offer is the Navy Federal Credit Union Flagship Rewards credit card. Were I a squid, this card would definitely be in my wallet.

Monday, August 27th, 2007When you look for a rewards card, you should look for a card that actually gives you rewards in a reasonable amount of time. The Commerce Bank Visa Extras Card is not one of them. The amount of spending that you have to make in order to get rewards sometimes borders on the ridiculous, with amounts of up to $3.33/point accruing towards rewards. While this rewards card is better than no rewards card, it’s only barely better. Spend any time searching, and you should be able to find a better rewards credit card than this one.

The USAA Platinum Total Rewards Mastercard
Thursday, August 23rd, 2007We have previously looked at the USAA American Express Rewards Card, and this time, we will look at the USAA Platinum Total Rewards Mastercard. This is another card from the USAA line, and USAA is well known for its great customer service. This card offers the backing of the USAA brand name along with some pretty good rewards opportunities.

The Capital One No Hassle Miles Visa Signature Card
Wednesday, August 22nd, 2007I am typically a proponent of two things that the Capital One No Hassle Miles Ultra For Professionals card does not offer:
- No annual fees
- Cash back rewards
However, despite a $39 annual fee and miles accrual, this card certainly has its advantages for people who are frequent travelers or have always had the hankering to become one.
The Citi Bronze/AAdvantage Mastercard
Friday, August 17th, 2007Bronze is good in many things:
- Olympic medals
- Beach bodies
- Statues and sculptures
- Historical ages
However, if you’re looking for a good rewards credit card, the Citi Bronze/AAdvantage Mastercard is not one of them. While not a bad card, such as the Aspire Visa credit card, it is not a particularly strong rewards card.
