As a former Army member, I shudder at the thought of having to say positive things about anything to do with the Navy (there is a pretty fierce Army-Navy rivalry, after all). However, as Consumer Reports pointed out, the Navy Federal Credit Union offers great service to its members. One of the best cards that the Navy Federal Credit Union has to offer is the Navy Federal Credit Union Flagship Rewards credit card. Were I a squid, this card would definitely be in my wallet.

The Navy Federal Credit Union Flagship Rewards Credit Card
Friday, August 31st, 2007What Do I Look For in a Good Credit Card?
Tuesday, August 14th, 2007As I am reviewing cards, it might help you, Humble Reader, to know what I, Not-So-Humble-Author include in my criteria when I am reviewing a card. While having lots and lots of cool pictures on the credit card helps (and if you want an affinity card, then Bank of America, which bought MBNA, the owner of the affinity market, is probably the best one for you), it does not truly determine whether or not a card is one that should be in your wallet.

Blue Cash Credit Card From American Express
Monday, August 13th, 2007Blue. It’s not a color that reminds me of a credit card. It’s the color of:
Smurfs:
Sadness:
Cold:
But cash? I always thought that green was the color of cash. Not with the Blue Cash credit card from American Express.
The USAA American Express Rewards Card
Friday, August 10th, 2007The typical connotation that comes up in association with American Express cards is exclusivity. The second one that I’ve always had and the reason that American Express cards have never found their way into my wallet is annual fees. I hate paying an annual fee for the ability to do the same thing that a no fee card can do for me. However, the USAA American Express Rewards Card is different. It is a no fee rewards card and it’s from American Express. Now, you too can schmooze with famous American Express card holders like Tiger Woods and you don’t even have to pay a fee for the privilege. High society, here we come!
The Chase PerfectCard
Thursday, August 9th, 2007The Chase PerfectCard is the one credit card that I actually carry around in my wallet. I have more, but it’s the one that gets to come along with me whenever I leave the house. Lucky card. The other cards are jealous and conspire against the PerfectCard trying to figure out ways to give it injuries so that it cannot come with me. I saw them all congregated on the kitchen counter one night carrying scissors in a very threatening fashion.
Why does the PerfectCard make the cut when others don’t? The simple answer is that this is a cash back rewards card.
